The artisans in India from whom I source these beautiful carvings (the Buddha heads, sitting Buddhas, and Ganeshes) have been sought out for their impeccable craftsmanship and attention to detail. Not to mention their own intimidate understanding of these deities and their impact on the spiritual community. The most important part, however, is that these artists are FAIRLY and justly compensated monetarily for their work. What most people do not know is that many Indian carvers work in terrible conditions and their work is exploited - sold for large amounts of money, but they aren’t fairly compensated for their time, work, and expertise.
