Have you ever wanted to stick your TOE in to test the waters of sock knitting? In this class, Jennifer Hallan will WALK you through the STEPS needed to make the perfect-for-beginners I’m So Basic Socks by Summer Lee. You'll learn the basics of cuff down sock knitting. Students should know how to knit/purl, do simple decreases (k2tog, ssk) and work in the round. If you have taken any of our hat or cowl classes, you are good to go! PURCHASE BEFORE THE START OF CLASS:  PATTERN I'm So Basic Socks by Summer Lee YARN 100 grams of  fingering weight sock yarn, such as Emma's Practically Perfect Sock, A Knitter's Homestead 80/20 Sock, Ryan Yarn Twist Sock, Urth Yarns Uneek Sock, Jake77 Sock, Isager Sock or Malabrigo Ultimate Sock OPTIONAL:  1 mini-skein for contrasting cuff, heel, and toe We recommend a less-busy, light colored yarn to see your stitches more clearly. CIRCULAR NEEDLES US Size 1 needles - 32” or longer circular for Magic Loop (ChiaoGoo needles recommended)  Materials for the class must be bought at The Craftivist. Students will receive a 10% discount on the cost of supplies for the class.
