He and his countryman, Salo Flohr had stopped off in Sweden on their way home following the chess congress at Hastings, England. There were ten contestants and finished in the following order: Mikhail Botvinnik 8.5/9; Berndt Soderborg and Salo Flohr 5.5/9, Ake Olsson and Erik Lundin 5/9, Zandor Nilsson 4.5/9, Beng Eric Horberg and Kristian Skold 4/9, Bengt Andersson and Sven Buskenstrom 1.5/9. Botvinnik's only draw was against Flohr a Nimzo-Indian, classical, Noa variation, 5.cd ed (E35) eighteen moves. Played on January 14 in round one.Condition: Punch holes the rig
