Also know as Lophocereus Schotti var. monstrosus cactus. The Totem Pole is a completely spineless mutant form of the Sonoran Senita cactus from Baja, Mexico. This multi-column cactus has a knobby growth habit and is equally stunning in a landscape or a container.There are two forms of the Totem pole cactus. "Major" has thicker columns and more pronounced bumps and knobs on them. "Minor" has thinner columns and a more wavy appearance. "Minor" tends to grow a little faster and gets arms a little bit faster than the "Major" variant.The Totem Pole Cactus has a unique and unusual growth habit characterized by a twisted and contorted stem with irregularly spaced, distorted ribs.
