Thomas Edison was born February 11, 1847, and is considered to be the greatest inventor the world has ever known.  Both an American inventor and a businessman, he has developed devices that have greatly influenced life around the world. Edison's phonograph created todays music industry, his motion picture camera created our incredible film industry, and the long-lasting practical electric light bulb made it possible for all industries to flourish even when light wasn't available.  Edison was a prolific inventor, who held 1,093 US patents in his name, as well as many patents in the UK, France, and Germany.   This exquisitely framed photo is an original photograph from the early 1900's, nearly 100 years old.  It has been hand signed, at the bottom, "Thomas Edison" in Edison's beautifully exaggerated style.  Below the photo we've included one of Edison's most prolific quotes, that speaks to how many great ideas have been lost because someone decided to quit too soon.  Edison believed that
