Dorje represents firmness and a symbol for the nature of reality, or sunyata, indicating limitless potency, and skillful activity. The double Dorje represents that which cannot be destroyed, but which destroys all delusion that causes suffering. Dorje in tibetan and Vajra in Sanskrit, means indestructible or diamond-like. Dzambhala is associated with the earth, mountains, all treasures such as minerals and jewels that lie underground, and riches in general. According to most accounts, he first lived in Lanka, but his palace was taken away from him by his half-brother, Ravana, and he now resides in a beautiful mountain residence near the god Shiva's home on Mount Kailasa, where he is attended by all manner of demigods. The set consists of a singing bowl, a cushion, a drum stick and a mallet.
