Kubera also known as Kuvera, Kuber and Kuberan, is the god of wealth, and the god-king of the semi-divine Yakhas(Nature of spirits) in Hindusim. He is regarded as the regent of north and a protector of the world. He is associated with the earth, mountains, all treasures such as minerals and jewels that lie underground, and riches in general. According to most accounts, he first lived in Lanka, but his palace was taken away from him by his half brother, Ravana, and he now resides in a beautiful mountain residence near the god Shiva's home on Mount Kailasa, where he is attended by all manner of demigods.
