Tillandsia Espinosae Air Plant

Tillandsia Espinosae, formerly known as Vriesea Espinosae, is a symmetrical rosette shaped, medium green air plant with shorter, stiff leaves. When this plant pups it sends off runners called stolons and it is at the end of the stolon that the pup forms. If left alone it will form a mobile like clump which is unusual compared with other tight air plant clumps. When blooming Espinosae produce a beautiful red spike. These plants are low maintenance, making them a great choice for people who are new to indoor plants. They need regular daily indirect or filtered sunlight (so fine for desks, shelves, bathrooms or bedrooms). A weekly water is all they require - although you can always give them a mist in between if they look a little dry. Air plants prefer regular air circulation, so we suggest open terrariums rather than the kind with lids.
