
Mars Tango
In “Mars Tango”, I found inspiration on the transformed surface of Mars. As I imagined Spike Spiegel on the edge of a scenic overlook, I envisioned him utterly captivated by the grandeur of an unfolding eclipse. In my portrayal, the sky is a canvas of intertwining colors: teal, purple, and fire orange. Each shade, in its own right, tells a story of Mars’s rebirth, its mysteries, and its fiery spirit.When painting from Spike’s perspective, I sought to capture the emotional pull of this cosmic dance. The merging and contrasting hues reminded me of the intricate steps of a tango, passionate and intense.As I shifted focus to emphasize Spike’s silhouette, I used a bluish-green hue to provide a gentle illumination. This touch not only highlighted his form against the vivid backdrop but also hinted at the presence of reflective waters nearby. To bring a touch of life to this alien landscape, I added the soft silhouettes of trees, their leaves rustling in the backdrop, marrying the celestial
