Pair of antique 19th century French Louis XVI armchairs with new neutral high end British upholstery. High end dining room chairs with beautiful carving all around. Carved beautifully in walnut with a fantastic patina. Each chair is raised by fine and uniquely shaped circular fluted legs below carved block rosettes. At the frieze is a most decorative carved pattern simple lines which extends around the sides and the back. They could be used as side chairs in different parts of the house, or bedroom chairs, as vanity chairs, hallway chairs, in a dining room, corner chairs, side chair.
