Your gift will allow our nonprofit to provide direct support to a beekeeping partner. We have over 850 hives spread across more than 100 partners. Every additional hive, new bee colony, or queen bee helps us to increase honey production, grow the project and support partner beekeepers. Explore more donation options here. When you support an ABC partner, your gift boosts the partner’s income. A hive can produce approximately 40-60 pounds of honey for sale each year. A diligent beekeeper can also split his or her hives each year, meaning that your gift may grow into an entire apiary over the next several years. It also helps the environment. Bee hives stimulate plant communities within a two-mile radius through pollination. And our beekeeping program helps partner beekeepers learn to interact on a personal level with our region’s unique ecology, building a stronger appreciation for natural processes and the environment.
