We are starting our tour of national parks with a bang!  A big fiery bang.  We traveling to the erupting volcanoes of the big island of Hawaii to discover how these stunning tropical islands were created out of the ocean depths.  So pack your favorite Hawaiian shirt, good sturdy hiking shoes as we hike across lava fields to an up close look of the fiery birth of the Hawaiian Islands For our handspinners, we are introducing a new fiber blend: American raised Targhee blended with bamboo and tussah silk.  This lovely blend is a joy to spin with long staple length, springy crimp and the subtle sheen of silk and bamboo.
