
Kokanee/Sockeye Salmon Native Fish Hat
The Kokanee (or land locked Sockeye Salmon) This hat is unique because if you are a big Sockeye fishermen than it is a Sockeye, but if you are a Kokanee person it works that way as well. Kokanee live their lives similar to a Sockeye Salmon except they live their entire life in freshwater. They will spawn in rivers and creeks and then migrate to a lake where they will feed and live until they are ready to return to their spawning grounds. At that point they turn bright red to spawn and finish off their lives. Habitat - Kokanee can be found in many lakes in North America throughout Alaska, Western Canada, Washingon, Oregon, California and Idaho. And they have been introduced to many more states.
