Apertura 8" f/4 Imaging Newtonian OTA The Apertura 8" f/4 Imaging Newtonian OTA has everything you need for wide-field imaging! Newtonian Telescope Build The 32" long OTA is made of rolled steel for added durability and has a diameter of 9". The 8" f/4 Newtonian optical tube assembly has a center-spotted parabolic primary mirror. The four secondary mirror vanes are as thin as possible while maintaining stability. Equipped with diffraction-limited optics, the parabolic primary mirror is housed in an aluminum cell fitted with six "push/pull" collimation knobs so that you can collimate without tools. Focuser The dual-speed 2" Crayford focuser includes linear bearings and a monorail that create a sturdy draw tube and reduce drag under heavy loads. Achieve focus with the larger of the two knobs, and then tweak your focus with the small 10:1 micro-focusing knob.
