The woolly mammoth inhabited vast territories spanning from northern Europe to Siberia, extending into regions including Alaska, Canada, and the northern United States. Across these areas, remnants of these mammoths have been unearthed, typically in the form of bones, teeth, and tusks. Occasional and extraordinary discoveries occur in northern Siberia, where the effects of erosion and permafrost occasionally reveal remarkably well-preserved specimens, even including intact hair. These findings encompass both the lengthy, coarse guard hairs and the soft underwool of the mammoth. Belonging to the Mammuthus genus, the woolly mammoth, a singular species, reached a height of 10 to 12 feet at the shoulder, boasting a shaggy coat. This dense hair covering conferred a significant advantage in the evolutionary struggle for maintaining warmth. We have carefully collected and stored this woolly mammoth hair specimen in an acrylic card holder, measuring 3.15x5.24”. Add this unique piece to your ho
