Details Ceramic with blue and white glaze 11" x  12 1/2 " x 5" Initialed and stamped on bottom Excellent condition About the Designer Gerd Hiort Petersen was born in 1937 in Bornholm, a Danish island in the Baltic Sea. Bornholm is also home to Søholm Ceramic Factory since it founding in 1835.  Gerd Petersen began her pottery training on the island and later studied at the Arts and Crafts/Design School in Copenhagen. Since 1973 she and her husband, also a ceramic artist, have maintained their studio on the island.  She exhibits worldwide and is a member of the International Academic de Ceramique, IAC.
