The young and talented Sebastien Magnien is highly spoken of by Burgundy connoisseurs, as his wines represent some of the finest values coming out of the Cote de Beaune. He's the 4th generation of his family to make wines for his family's estate, and he trained well for the job. After gaining experience at Domaine Rossignol in Gevrey and Olivier Leflaive in Puligny, Sebastien headed to California where he worked at Hartford Court. Today, he calls Meursault home, and he tends to all of the duties of the family winery.  The Premier Cru Les Aigrots is located just south of Beaune, close to Pommard and adjacent to the famed Clos des Mouches Cru. Sebastien's Aigrots is quite open, giving, and enjoyable now, offering up many of the same characteristics as the much more expensive Clos des Mouches. Elegant, silky, and mineralic, this showcases a nice mix of red and dark berries, floral nuances, and exotic spice. Delicious now, this will benefit from 5 to 10 years in the cellar.
