The Buck 108 Compadre Froe Knife was designed for splitting wood, as well as clearing, heavy chopping and batoning, as well as detail work.  The blade of the 108 Compadre Froe is 5160 Carbon Spring Steel, which runs the entire length of the blade and handle, ensuring the knife is exceptionally strong. Cerakote Cobalt coating not only gives the unique blade of the Froe a stunning black finish, but also provides added durability and rust resistance, even in wet conditions. This is a full tang knife, which means that the unsharpened section of the blade extends the full length of the handle. This eliminates natural weaknesses that can result from the joining of blade to handle.
