Beeswax Lotion Bar

Lotion bars are a great alternative to a traditional lotion.  Since the recipe contains no water, like a traditional lotion does, there is no need for a preservative making the ingredients list 100% natural.   You just take the lotion bar out of its reusable tin and rub onto your skin.  The heat of your skin melts the bar creating a protective barrier on your skin.  They are particularly good for dry winter skin.    Beeswax forms a protective barrier by sealing in moisture without clogging your pores. Coconut oil has many wondrous properties for your skin including being very moisturizing and rich in fatty acids and antioxidants that help prevent aging and damage to your skin. Shea Butter has high concentrations of fatty acids and vitamins and  also has anti-inflammatory and healing properties.
