It does NOT need to be painted. It is 3D printed, so it won't look perfect. Each piece is to be printed and glued separately in black, brown, and silver (which I will do prior to shipping). This blaster will ship with an orange tip. Beware that some Cons will not allow entry without one. This is a 3D printed product, so there may be minor defects (rough edges, bumps, etc). It is all made of Biodegradeable Plastic. I have spent a lot of time calibrating my printers and I use the best printer and settings for the desired effect on each model.
