It was a highly versatile design with multiple configurations that could be easily reconfigured from a blaster pistol to a blaster rifle, a sniper rifle/longblaster, or a portable ion launcher depending on the situation. Used during the reign of the Galactic Empire, one such pistol was wielded by Jyn Erso of the Alliance to Restore the Republic.
