A small cream and alizarin crimson/red sienna veined jicarite frog with turquoise eyes/dots added to the raised eye sockets - carved by Joseph Quam. Frogs are the result of water so are associated with the prominence of rain and are used to encourage the growth of crops. Zuni believe the frog is a reminder that we are all the same - development wise - we begin as tiny fishlike creatures in the womb then we evolve from swimmers to creatures of the land.
