Bone is the traditional material used for string nuts on all high-end banjos. Our bone nut blanks are machined from bleached cow bone. This nut blank is sized to be a direct replacement for pre-war Mastertone banjos. The blank is oversize in height and length, but almost right on in thickness. Size is 1-1/4” x 5/16” x 1/8”.
