Large Square Hollywood Regency Brass and Glass Coffee Table by Widdicomb

An exceptional Mid-Century Modern Hollywood Regency style coffee or cocktail table By John Widdicomb USA, Circa 1970s Brass waterfall frame with beveled glass top. Measures: 40" W x 40" D x 17" H.             Original vintage condition.  There is patina to the brass and some light scratches to the glass and brass (see close up images). Widdicomb had a clear eye for talent and hired modern design masters like T.H. Robsjohn-Gibbings and George Nakashima. It's  furniture transcended several styles over the years; American Empire, Colonial Revival and Mid-Century, making them a favorite with interior designers and collectors.   Founded in 1858, Widdicomb went out of business in 2002.  It was a loss for the industry.  The only way to get Widdicomb pieces today is to buy antique and vintage pieces.
