Yabal Striped Backpack

This striking backpack is made from handwoven fabric in Black/Brick, Grey/Teal, Lake Blue/Black or Sky Blue/Black stripes.  Soft brown leather sides, bottom and double back carry straps.  (Their sewing machine cannot sew a thicker leather!)  Roomy interior with zippered pocket and zippered top.  Large outside zip pocket.   Handmade by Maya artists working in a cooperative of over 50 artisans in the highlands of Guatemala.  Yabal means "hope" in the Mayan Quiche language.  This group had to relocate after their entire village was destroyed by a hurricane.  Support them by purchasing other items from our Yabal Collection.
