Patriotic Antique American Eagle Flag Topper | Polished Brass | US Eagle 6" | Business Gift Authentic antique flag pole topper.  Circa: 1865.  Recovered, restored, polished, and lacquered.  This was used during the Civil War.  Notice the Eagle's left-wing is curved inward and has a small split.  During the war, the tops would be placed in a fire so that the soldiers could bend the wings to make them fit inside the fabric sleeve design to transport a flag.   Corporate Gift / Business Gift / Award that may be mounted with a message.  A marble base or wood base with a hand-engraved message on a metal plate attached to the face of a base.  These are one of a kind and very special.  This is heavy and substantial.  Measuring approximately 6 by 5.5 inches and 2 inches front to back.
