4 Week Class Lidded Vessels Class (Tier 3)

* Prerequisite: Cylinder Bootcamp and Handles and Pitchers The goal of Lidded Vessels is to learn how to make well-fitting lids for any pot you'd like. We'll teach you how to make a lid multiple ways as well as talk through casserole handles, flat lids, and curved lids. By the end of class, you will have made: - 2 pots; one flange on the lid, one flange on the pot. - Hollow knob, handbuilt knob - Casserole Handles We will be challenging your thinking processes in the class. To make quality lidded pots, the handles need to not just line up evenly, but also to be ergonomic and comfortable to hold, as well as coordinate with the style of your pot.  Sketchbooks are required for this class. This can be printer paper stapled together. We want you pre-thinking your designs and trying out different options on the same pots without having to make the whole pot. Week 1:   Powerpoint learn about types of lids and what makes a good one. Flanges and Lids.  Basic lids 2 ways (bowl and plate).  Week
