  Nui Perennial Ryegrass, a cool-season grass variety that is known for its high wear-tolerance and rapid establishment. This variety, one of the five to come from New Zealand, is well-adapted to moderate temperatures and emulates early heading, with a growth peak rate in late winter and early spring. Nui is often used around homes, schools, parks, or for winter erosion control, pasture and as a cover crop when adequate water is available. Its rapid germination and establishment, at just 3-5 days, makes it perfect for overseeding winter-dormant bermudagrass lawns. Nui thrives in full sun, but can also tolerate partial shade and its quick establishment helps to suppress weeds. It can be used to overseed warm-season grasses and can be managed by gradually reducing the height of the grass in the spring by mowing it more closely and more often.
