GOES-UP, GOES-DOWN

  The Falcons Have Landed.About 8 minutes after liftoff of the NOAA GOES-U mission, both of the side boosters landed back on land! This satellite will assist with hurricane forecasting, amongst other interesting science. This photo was shot by a sound-activated camera that I set up at Launch Complex 14 on the morning of the launch.  What was previously a science fiction is now a common reality of rapid reusability.  These boosters were brand new, but the two that landed as shown here will likely go on to support many missions!
