French Louis XVI Style Square Back Provincial Painted Dining Chairs - Set of 6

Vintage French provincial set of six painted dining chairs made in the style of French Louis XVI. The chairs feature a hand-molded frame with a square-shaped back finished in a beautiful orange paint with a naturally aged patina with some distressed areas. The chairs have been recently reupholstered in graphic octagon zebra fabric having tan and black colors. The fabric is clean-finished with brass nail head trim. The padded seats are supported by elegant tapered, fluted legs ending with toupie feet typical for Louis XVI chairs. The front legs are also decorated with carved rosettes on the corners. Excellent joinery and craftsmanship with a classic French silhouette and beautiful color combination. - Origin: Provence, France- Dimensions: W 18.25" x D 17" x H 35.5" - seat height 18- Condition: Good, minor wear consistent with age and use. Excellent joinery and craftsmanship with age-appropriate wear. The painted frames have some distressed areas with chipped paint.
