
18th Century Country French Provincial Walnut Dough Table or Petrin Kitchen Table
Late 18th-century country French farmhouse dough bin or petrin baking table, sourced from Provence, France. Beautifully handcrafted from solid walnut featuring a 5'3" long rectangular plank top with breadboard ends constructed with tenon and mortise joints. This type of storage petrin-style table was used to make the bread dough mix in the bin, then removed and kneaded on the tabletop. The table comes with one end storage drawer. The wood showcases a naturally aged patina with a beautiful brown color and rich wood grains. The table is supported by hand-carved tapered legs constructed with exposed wooden dowels.
