In 2013, filmmaker and photographer Gary Hustwit spent a day at the home of Massimo Vignelli. “I asked Massimo if I could come over and photograph him and his wife Lella, sort of a ‘day in the life’ thing,” Hustwit said. “This was about a year before he passed away, and at this point he was his usual, charismatic self.” Among the photographs Hustwit took that day was this image of Vignelli at work alongside his personal copy of the NYCTA Graphics Standards Manual. We're pleased to exclusively offer this stunning original black and white photograph in a numbered edition of 50 copies, each signed by Gary Hustwit.
