
Fall 2024 Class: English and American Literature
Live online class for students in Grades 9+ from the European Studies A cycle. Prior completion of the American Literature (AL1-B) course required for registration in English & American Literature (EL3-A). Students will need Teaching the Classics throughout the EL3 semester. Meets 1x every other academic week 9 live, graded class discussions 3-8 students per class Graded weekly quizzes 8 graded forum discussion posts due the weeks without a live meeting Advisor-graded assignments option available SUPPLY LIST English and American Literature booklist. The live class will study Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens, The Virginian by Owen Wister, and Animal Farm by George Orwell. Specific editions of these four novels are required so students and the advisor can be on the same page when discussing passages.
