A Pair of Twin Daifukucho: Old Account Ledgers

early twentieth centuryeach book approximately: 7" x 5 1/2", 17.75 cm x 14 cm This is a nice group of four old daifukucho which in fact is two sets. Each set is connected by a piece of twined paper. A daifukucho is a hand bound, hand written book that was originally used for inventories, for accounting, for ledgers or as a record of loans. One of the pair is about 1/2 filled with hand writing  which was done in sumi or charcoal-based ink and the other pair is fairly full.   A lovely set of traditional daifukucho.
