The Helix is a planetary gearbox designed specifically for your high-pressure fuel pump (HPFP). Similar to the technology found in automatic transmissions, it leverages a planetary gear system—composed of a ring gear, planet gears, and a sun gear—to increase the shaft speed in an axial configuration. This innovative setup allows the HPFP to rotate faster, increasing the number of delivery strokes per cycle, and significantly enhancing its fuel delivery capability. Why You Need the Helix The N54/early N55 HPFP is a robust, over-engineered component capable of supporting stock power levels.
