Since the SpitJack CXB50, CJC50, CJC75, and CXB75 are designed primarily for use with whole animals (hollow cavity, not solid meat) the need for a point on the spit was optional in most cases. However we have found for larger pieces of meat such as a whole beef quarter, it can be very useful. We found it also helped getting the spit through the ends of the hog as well. This custom made food-safe stainless fitting fits in the end of your spit and is fastened by a small stainless set screw. Easy to install, remove and clean.
