Alessi Tales Alessandro Corkscrew - Parade

Fashion-designer Arthur Arbesser was inspired by the artistic tradition of his home city of Vienna to develop unexpected colour combinations: "We work a lot with prints, graphic effects and patterns, which then create special effects when they are sewn and transformed into a dress". To mark the anniversary of the iconic corkscrews designed by Alessandro Mendini (30 years for Anna G. and around 10 years for Alessandro M.), Alessi has launched a creative exploration focusing on hybridisation, a recurrent theme in Mendini's work. Three talents from the fields of fashion, graphics and painting were asked to reinterpret the corkscrews – resulting in a stylistic and technological renewal. Arthur Arbesser, Studio Temp and Fulvia Mendini have therefore reinterpreted the two Alessi character objects with unexpected colours and innovative styles.
