1880 D. L. MOODY. Original Chair from the Moody Family Dining Room! Own a Piece of History!

As close as you'll get this side of Heaven to sitting around the table and chatting with D. L. Moody!  Here is a wonderful little piece of history! Last year we began a conversation with the family of D. L. Moody's son, Paul Dwight Moody, who was pastor and then President of Middlebury College. When his evangelist father passed away, a small quantity of family effects were put into storage on the family farm in Vermont. They have remained there untouched since then.  These chairs were the family dining room chairs, the chairs he entertained his Northfield Conference guests around, led his family devotions around, and were present for some amazing moments of Church history.  I have saved one for myself and will be using it as an illustration when we pray for new leaders as we talk about the "pastor's first church," i.e. their family.
