A nice little association copy of James A. Haldane's classic Scottish work on the atonement. It is signed by Robert Haldane [1805-1877], son of James, named after James' brother [See the Life of Robert and James Haldane, Banner of Truth]. It is then signed at the head of the title by J. Third Edition. Edinburgh. William P. Kennedy. 1862. 350pp. A fair copy only, bound in cloth, awkwardly reinforced at spine, lightly shaken, with generally bright pages. Very usable, but not pretty.
