A really wonderful facsimile of the first edition of Bunyan's Immortal Tale. Finely bound in a reproduction of a 17th century vellum binding with red geometric tooling and fleur de lis compartments, printed on fine paper, and bound with hand-laid sheets. This is a really lovely little production. Bunyan, John. The Pilgrim's Progress from this World, to that which is to Come: Delivered under the Similitude of a Dream Wherein is Discovered, the Manner of his setting out, His Dangerous Journey, etc., London. Nath. Ponder. 1678. / London. Elliot Stock. c.1900. 233pp. Very good copy as shown; attractive with some light dulling on spine. Text crisp and clean. Endsheets toned.
