Helianthus annuus Mongolian Giant flower stalks can reach a whopping 14 feet tall in four months! Huge 16-18 inch heads bear some of the finest eating seeds we've tried. This sunflower produces the kind of blossoms that will win you a blue ribbon in the county fair!  Direct seed or transplant into the garden after all danger of frost has passed. Sunflowers will need full sun and well-draining soil. Water well to ensure good germination. Once germinated, sunflowers will need at least an inch of water per week. Typically grown for flowers.
