Amaranth Seeds- Opopeo

Amaranthus caudatus HEIRLOOM. Extremely productive traditional amaranth from Mexico, with beautiful magenta flowers and bright pink stems. Opopeo Amaranth makes for a wonderful cut flower, growing all summer long, reaching heights of five to six feet. The cream-colored seeds of Opopeo Amaranth are edible.  Sow Opopeo Amaranth seeds after all danger of frost has passed. Ideal temperatures for Opopeo Amaranth are 65 - 90 degrees F. Amaranth requires full sun, and is not frost hardy.
