PSALM 23 CREWNECK

Psalm 23 is one of the more well-known Psalms for many reasons- it provides wisdom, comfort, and assurance in the promises of God. In Matthew Henry's commentary, he provides multiple conclusions that one can see after reading Psalm 23. They include: the great care that God takes of believers; the great confidence which believers have in God; the comforts of a living saint, that they are well placed, well guided, and helped; the saints are given great courage in the midst of trials, and given triumph over ultimate defeat (death); the constancy and perpetuity of God's mercy and good gifts; and the importance of believers to cling to God and His duty for all of their days. (source) Think on these rich truths, verse by verse, asking God to show you how you can rest in Him, knowing that His son died for the sheep and is indeed the Good Shepherd.
