“Diamondback Burl” 10in (250mm) k-tip gyuto chef knife. I really like the way this handle came out. The shape is octagonal on a full tang. The diamond pattern texture cut into the opposing faces gives it a unique appearance and feel. The angled bolster leads your thumb down onto the blades surface for a comfortable pinch grip. Handle is made from dyed and stabilized buckeye burl. This handle is a little thinner in profile than my normal handles, measuring about 0.8in thick. The dragonscale blade pattern is a perfect complement for the diamondback handle texture. Includes the sleek walnut saya shown. The blade is made from VG10 core hardened to 60 HRC. VG10 is a high hardness stainless that doesn’t require the maintenance or care of carbon steel. VG10 blades should be sharpened with a water stone, synthetic stone, or diamond.
