1960s Mr John Jr Gray Wool Hay

Mid to late 1960s saw the space age craze and fashion jumped at the chance to be modern. Paco Rabanne  was leader in this movement and many designers followed. Mr John a famous milliner in New York City designed this hat made of plush velvet in steel gray. The shape looks like an astronaut helmet. Often called a dome top can see numerous pictures of a Twiggy modeling them. The small band at the base  has 2 gold clasps and there is grosgrain ribbon going three them tied in a knot in the front. The label reads Mr John Jr which is is youthful line catering to the 20 year olds  Crown is 9 inches high and no brim excellent condition
