Before becoming a fashion Designer Brigitte Freed was her husband’s assistant. Leonard Freed was a famous photographer who took pictures of every day life in Harlem, Brooklyn and the other burrows of NYC. He is most famous for his pictures of the 1963 March on Washington. The suit is made of cotton velvet. A loose fitting jacket with  a Ved neckline has floral fabric about an inch wide as an accent. The buttons are covered in the same fabric, 5 in total and that is how the jacket closes. The skirt is long  and is fuller at the bottom. Closes in the back with a zipper. The suit has an Edwardian feel to it. Measures as follows Shoulders 15, Sleeves 23, Armhole 8, Bust 34, Waist 26, Hips up to 40. Excellent condition    Serving vintage clothing lovers in Fairfield County, Westchester County, New York, Manhatten  and New Jersey for over four decades!
