(Ulmus 'New Horizon') A large-growing elm that's highly resistant to the dreaded Dutch Elm Disease; this vigorous shade tree is upright in habit and very tolerant of adverse conditions, retains a dense crown through old age. It is highly tolerant of urban pollution, will even thrive in inner city environments, and can tolerate salt. Similarly to most elms, this is a fast growing tree and will need to be pruned in the winters (after the first year).
