The tie rod location varied so there is no one size fits all double shear arm. These project arms allow you to line bore through the knuckle's tie rod hole to create a double sheer steering setup to capture a heim joint between the arm and the factory tie rod hole. This is most commonly used for hydraulic steering systems using a double ended ram. There is enough room in the arm to add a drag link for a mechanical steering connection as well.
