Have you ever needed a lightweight block battery while on the go? Powering cameras or doing a quick hot swap? Well look no further! The BAB (Build-A-Block) is just for you!   The BAB is a portable block battery solution that runs off regular 12V Gold Mount or V-mount batteries. It provides both 4pin 12V XLR and 3pin 24V XLR outputs while housing ideal diodes and self serviceable fuses. A toggle switch sits up top so you can select your desired XLR output. Also included is color paracord loop of your choice so the BAB can be easily carried or hung on a stand/tripod while in use.   How does it work? This two way switch circuit swaps the batteries from parallel to series just like we have been using on Steadicam rigs for decades.  When in parallel mode on the toggle switch you can hot swap the 4pin XLR with your two batteries, you will still have 12V out but with double the wattage while you have two batteries on the BAB.
