QUATRA 2000 Small Cell installation configuration / set-up: This hybrid solution combines the best of Smart Booster and active DAS technologies. It is self-optimizing and self-configuring, while installation and configuration is made simple by the Cel-Fi WAVE Portal. Cel-Fi QUATRA 2000 is available in a dual-carrier combination and will work for both AT&T and Verizon cell phones and cellular devices such as tablet computers, mobile hotspots, etc. This dual provider-specific operation ensures that the system distributes and boosts service only for the two operator networks for which it is authorized and configured. Its outdoor cellular donor signal is provided by the wideband omni-directional MIMO antenna. Coverage is provided via Power over Ethernet (PoE), eliminating the need for separate power supplies for the Coverage Units. The Network Unit uses Dynamic gain control in to automatically ensure the best coverage and maximum gain at all times. System Components: Network Unit (NU). The hub of the system is the QUATRA Network Unit (NU).  Its scalable design can work with between 1 and 4 Coverage Units (CU) to cover up to 50,000 square feet. The NU provides the donor signal to system and supplies power to up to 4 CUs (Coverage Units). It can be managed by the WAVE Platform. Coverage Unit (CU). The remote radio head of the system that rebroadcasts the donor signal is called the Coverage Unit (CU). Each CU provides coverage in the QUATRA system, with up to 4 per NU. Each CU is powered from the NU by Power-Over-Ethernet (POE). Donor Antenna. The Wideband Omni-Directional MIMO Antenna has a gain of between 2.5 and 5 dBi and is perfect for use as a source for outdoor cellular donor signals. It has 2 x 2m lengths of QMA (quick connect) cable attached with right angle QMA male connectors. Range Extender (QRE). The Range Extender is a Power over Ethernet (PoE) device that extends the maximum distance between the NU and a CU. Each range extender permits additional cable lengths of up to 650 ft. (200 meters).
